Add water to compressed soil evenly at 1:1 soil to water ratio

No. While we strive to provide products that are close to nature, we have found that some nutrient sources are not as bioavailable or environmentally friendly as others. There is a small amount of Bone Ash (0.0015%), from swine bones, in our Compressed Soil product.
Yes, we would recommend our Compressed Soil in combination with well draining additions like lava and pumice. A 50/25/25 combination of 50% Compressed Soil plus 25% pumice and 25% lava is a great recipe for bonsai soil. Our soil is enhanced with our all purpose fertilizer, providing long lasting results that plants love.
No, it's full of healthy microbes which creates healthy food for our plants! Our soil is alive, in all the most amazing ways. Sterile soil has undergone heat and even chemical treatment, resulting in soil that has little to no nutrients and benefits.
Our Compressed Soil has an approximately Neutral pH of about 6.5. This is an optimal soil pH for nutrient availability. If your plants require a unique soil pH, we suggest amending the soil with applicable elements.
Great for Seeds
If you are trying to sprout seeds, then this is the product for you. This soil retains quite a bit of moisture that turns seeds into seedlings in a couple days. Kids go crazy over it too especially when it expands. You know what’s even better: it is 100% safe for them and even for your pets! You can’t go wrong with a bag of this, or two.
Revives Old Soil
I didn’t realize why my poor indoor fiddle leaf wasn’t thriving until my friend came over and told me I needed to make sure my soil was healthy enough to support the plant. She recommended this product and now I am recommending it to everyone. My fiddle leaf is growing again and the leaves are bright green. Who knew all it took was a quick repotting with this amazing soil. You should know that the soil really expands when you add water. This bag goes a long way!
Moist… So Moist
I know people hate that word, but it is the best word to describe this soil and why your plants will love when you plant them in it. It really retains water and it full of essential nutrients that a lot of other soils don’t have. My plants went from boring to beautiful in a couple weeks after I replanted them. I would also recommend the soluble plant food to use every month. It really helps make sure they get the nutrients they need.
